OK - here we go then with a selection

of some of the various cartoons I

have been working on at home.

   Please note, before anyone starts

thinking of slapping any legal papers

in my hands, that none of these works

are for sale. I am not trying to claim

        anyone's right's to them.

    They are simply for pleasure,

to show what else I have been doing,

and that they are all destined for

the walls of my local children's

         hospitals and hospice.

Each one is painted on hardboard

   with the squarer cartoons being

2'x2' in size. The smaller ones

are 2'x18". It is quite surprising

just how many you can cut out

           of an 8'x4' sheet!

As is my usual method of operation,

they are all created by giving the

surface a couple of coats of gesso

to give me a good surface on which to

paint. Each coat being sanded before

           the next is applied.

It is only my personal opinion,

but when doing these, I try and use

the paint straight from the tube

without any mixing. I believe that

it helps to give that bright, bold

      appearance that really helps

            to define a cartoon.

I have tried to give a good selection

of work - those that appeal to most

people over time, and hope that I have

          been able to do that.

None of these images are mounted in

any way, nor do they have any frame

               or supports.

I do hope you all enjoy them, and that

at least one of your favourites is

          included somewhere.

Below are a set of Bratz - just for my

             granddaughter - Chloe!
